Hike to Prästhällan and enjoy the view of Dorotea community. On a clear day you can see the Borgafjällen mountains on the horizon!
The hike goes through beautiful and magical nature with lichen-covered coniferous forest and mighty boulders.
Prästhällan is named after the priest Jonas Nensén, who used to take his daily walks here. Nensén was an exciting personality who left a strong mark on Dorotea. In 2023, signs telling about Nensén's life will be placed along the hiking trail.

Forest path with small stones and roots. In the vicinity of Skolskogen's resting place, the ground may be a little wetter at times.
Bakker
Relatively steep climb from Hotel Dorotea up to Prästhällan's viewpoint, about 80 meters in 500 m.
There is also a steep descent from the first crossing at the top down towards Skolskogen and from Prästhällan's windbreak down towards Bergvattensjön.
The trail is classified as blue - medium difficulty due to the hills.
Parkering
At Hotel Dorotea or at the T-bridge at Bergvattensjön.

The forest trail starts above Hotel Dorotea.
It is signposted from the parking lot at the T-bridge at Bergvattensjön and from Hotel Dorotea.
