Classic spot for pecking for whitefish and grayling during the spring-winter. Drill carefully so you don't put the drill into a rock in the shallow area. A small jig usually works to lure the whitefish into a bite.

Remember that the Byske River estuary requires a fishing license and that there are extra rules along the coast to protect salmon, trout and grayling. For current rules follow the link under regulations.

By boat you can depart from any nearby harbor. Båtvik, Bredvik or Furuögrund. Want to try your luck in winter? Check the nearest snowmobile trail and avoid crossing the mouth of the Byske River.
