Nymyrliden

Nymyrliden Nature Reserve is an interesting destination for those interested in flora. Among other things, the rare orchid norna grows here, as well as other calcareous plants such as green clover and soapwort. The reason why, among other things, the norna thrives in the area is that there is a large element of basic minerals in the bedrock and moraine, which together with moving groundwater creates conditions for a lime-demanding flora.

The forest consists of older mixed coniferous forest, partly dominated by pine and partly by spruce with elements of deciduous trees such as aspen and willow. There are plenty of burnt stumps that testify to previous forest fires and the forest is probably rejuvenated after the fire.
