Blaikenkojan

The hut is located by the lake Östra Stenträsket in a landscape of marshes, wooded islets, lakes and small ponds. In winter, it is relatively easily accessible for skiers and snowmobilers.

During the summer, the closest route to the hut is from the forest road north of Östra Stenträsket. From the road to the hut, the distance is about 1.5 kilometers as the crow flies. There is no clearly marked path to the hut and passage over Stenträskbäcken must be done by wading or using one of the snowmobile crossings that cross the stream.

Blaikenkojan has two bunk beds that can accommodate 4-6 people, the lower beds are wider.

The hut is unlocked and accommodation in the hut is free. It is simple accommodation with beds, stove, table and chairs. Bring all your own equipment. It is not possible to book the hut or the sleeping places.

Offer a place to sleep to new guests if you have already slept one night. Hikers and skiers have priority for the sleeping places.

You, as a visitor, clean up after yourself and carry firewood from the wood store to the next guest. Firewood is available as meter wood. Do not forget to splinter sticks that are easy to make a fire with.

Dogs are allowed in the hut.
