Henriksfjäll-Grönfjäll

The trail from Henriksfjäll northwards goes through a fine old spruce forest, which with its hanging lichens and coarse flames gives a magical impression. In a couple of places the trail is hidden under tall ferns and angelica. A couple of kilometers before Grönfjäll you step on the trail towards Grönfjäll.

Grönfjäll-Klitvallens sameviste

3 km one way.

An easy hike through the spruce forest to Klitvallens sameviste. The trail starts in Grönfjäll at the suspension bridge over Grantonsbäcken. The trail continues east past some small spongy bogs with, among other things, the stately King Karl's sceptre and the carnivorous plant dense herb to then reach Klitvallen's abandoned Sami hut. There is also a barbecue area. A good trip when the weather puts a stop to tours in the bare mountains.

This tour is also possible to do in winter on skis by following the snowmobile trail. There is no public ski trail from Grönfjäll to Klitvallen. The tour can be extended to Matsdal or Klitvallen rest shelter.

Nybyggarleden, Grönfjäll-Södra Matsdal

11 km one way.

From Grönfjäll, the old settlers' trail crosses the mountain to Matsdal. A long medium-difficulty hike in spruce and mountain birch forest and on the bare mountain. There are some steep sections. Follow the trail from Grönfjäll to Klitvallens sameviste. Then turn north on the hiking trail towards Matsdal. Between Klitvallens sameviste and Matsdal there are particularly good conditions for peaceful nature experiences. The trail follows Västra Klitvallsbäcken over the mountain heath and up Jalkedsåejvie. The final stretch to Södra Matsdal takes you through spruce and mountain birch forest.

The tour can be done over two days with an overnight stay in a tent by one of the mountain streams.
