Dorotea kyrka

Dorotea church is beautifully positioned above the center of the community. The current church was built in 1934 after it had burned down a few years earlier during repairs. The architect was Evert Milles, half-brother of the famous sculptor Carl Milles. Inside the church, there are two of Carl Milles' sculptures depicting the angel Gabriel and the apostle Paul on his way to Damascus.

Next to the church is a small burial chapel that houses the sculpture group The Last Supper. The sculptures are life-size representations of Jesus and his disciples gathered for the Last Supper before his crucifixion. The chapel is open all year round.
