Sågudden

Sågudden is an open-air museum on the shore of Kyrkviken, east of Arvika town center. Here are various types of buildings moved here from places in Västvärmland that tell of older building practices. The largest is Storbondegården, which is a museum open in the summer with older objects, a cellar with archaeological collections and a church hall for medieval church objects. There is also a forest Finnish smokehouse, soldier's village, windmill, boathouse, smithy, etc.

It is Västra Värmlands Fornminnesförening that has collected older cultural objects since 1904 and with Sågudden also moved into buildings with Skansen as a model. Today it is a popular destination with a playground, herb garden, summer café, various holiday celebrations and events.
