Beskrivelse
Perserud Nature Reserve is an untouched ancient forest area.
The forest stand is located on a clear moraine ridge with an east-west direction. The forest is very old, but due to the low fertility, the trees are not very coarse. Several of the pines are over 300 years old. The spruces have also reached a considerable age.
In addition to living trees, there are also dry trees and lying dead trees, known as flames. The reserve was established to preserve a forest area unaffected in favor of natural vegetation types.
Animals and plants
Violet-grey thorn lichen, dark house moss, common crow and three-toed woodpecker can be seen in the reserve.

Rutevejledning
Värmland, Arvika municipality, 15 km northeast of Arvika. The nature reserve is located on a forest road just south of Alkehöjden and Lake Alken. The road is closed with a road barrier at Perserud.
Regler
In the reserve it is forbidden to:
- damage living or dead trees and shrubs,
- picking or digging up plants, including mosses, lichens or fungi
- disturbing wildlife, e.g. by approaching a nesting site, making fires
- bringing dogs that are not kept on a leash
- driving a motorized vehicle
- camping.
Without the permission of the County Administrative Board, it is forbidden to:
- organized use of the area (tourism, teaching, etc.), conduct scientific or other research.
