SERVICE: The trail is prepared from 15 May. Öströstugan is a resting hut that is open all year round. If you want to camp, it is advisable to do so at Öströstugan or at the Hästudden rest area.

No public transportation.

From Kristinehamn take road 26, towards Mariestad. Drive south about 25 km. At Nybble turn right towards Medhamn. Follow the road to Visnums-Kils church, from here it is signposted towards "Naturreservat Nötön-Arskagen" and then "Nötön". Show consideration and drive slowly as the road passes over a farmyard. The road to the reserve is closed with a barrier during the period 1/10 - 31/3.

• In addition to other statutory provisions, it is prohibited in the reserve to
• felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees or bushes, standing or fallen
• collect invertebrates, mosses, lichens and wood fungi
• digging or pulling up vascular plants
• driving vehicles
• ride horses
• make fires other than in the designated area
• bring an unleashed dog or other loose pet
• dumping or organizing storage, Without the permission of the county administrative board, it is also forbidden to
• conduct organized competitions, teaching or outdoor activities. Exemptions
• Regulation C does not apply to the manager of the nature reserve, or the person hired by the manager, when carrying out the measures described under B and which are necessary to meet the purpose of the nature reserve.
• The C regulations also do not apply during normal maintenance of the existing power line and the power line corridor or during normal maintenance and use of the existing road. The ban on bringing dogs that are not on a leash does not apply when hunting with dogs.
• The ban on horse riding does not apply to farming.
• The ban on felling or otherwise damaging living and dead trees or shrubs does not apply to the cutting or clearing of undergrowth up to seven cm in diameter at ground level for the maintenance of hunting passes.
