Beskrivelse
The 7-torps trail in Lekvattnet has a long history. The trail mainly follows old paths created by the Forest Finns. The trail passes seven crofts, all with forest Finnish origin. You cross the national border between Norway and Sweden. Two crofts are located on the Norwegian side of the border. During the Second World War, the trails were also used as a refugee route from Norway. Ritamäki farm is probably the best preserved Finnish farmhouse in Finnskogen. The Ritamäki meadow is managed and protected as a nature reserve.
Dog owners are advised that special rules apply for bringing their dogs to Norway.

Lekvattnet, west of Torsby, near the Norwegian border.
DIRECTIONS: From Torsby, take the E16 towards Norway. At Lekvattnet and Finnkulturcentrum, turn off the E16, to the left. Follow the signs to Ritamäki nature reserve. After about 10 km, turn right and drive another kilometer to the parking lot by Lake Lomsen. This is also the parking lot for the Ritamäki farm and nature reserve.
