Västra udden, Björn

The island of Björn is a pronounced migratory bird site. Many birdwatchers come here, mainly during September/October and May. Many rare birds have been seen on Björn over the years. In addition, species that are difficult to see over the mainland, such as loons, three-toed gulls, black guillemots and skuas, pass through almost every year. In the right weather conditions, large numbers of geese and ducks can also pass the island.

The western headland is a good place to watch birds. There is a sign here that tells you about some of the most common species you can see on Björn.
