Smultronställe Utsikten vid Torslundagropen

The ridge rises 25 meters and offers beautiful views of the surrounding agricultural landscape. It is quite a demanding climb to get to the top but once at the top you can have coffee at the table and admire the view.

Torslundagropen may seem lifeless and dry. But the sand and gravel is a perfect environment for many species. An interesting flora of herbs grows in the pit and on the slopes, including graybeetle, yellow poppy, tar flower, wood clover, white sweet clover, thyme, bluebell and knotweed. Several of the herbs are important for rare butterflies. For example, the caterpillars of the glow-worm live on tar flowers. A number of bee species also buzz here, such as the clover bumblebee and the spotted bee.

The view at Torslundagropen is one of Uppsala County's natural gems. A nature spot is an area with high natural and outdoor values that is accessible to visitors.
