Havsvik

Havsvik is located at the far end of Raggarön in Roslagen. Here you can experience a living and open agricultural landscape with an unusually rich flora and fauna. Despite its name, the island offers a peaceful and tranquil environment.

Raggarön is characterized by all the fishermen farmers who, over the course of generations, have created a small, broken, smiling archipelago paradise. There are grazed pastures, meadows, farm environments and forests all around, and the sea is never far away. In the reserve you can walk through open pastures and a varied and herb-rich spruce forest. Cattle have been grazing here for a long time, which can be seen in the forest, which is sparse and rich in small clearings. Sheep and horses now graze here.

The limestone-rich soil is home to the rare white wood lily and the orchid guckusko, with its large and distinctive red-yellow flowers. The name is also influenced by the dialect of Roslav and means "cuckoo's shoe". The forest is also home to rare fungi and insects that need sunlit pines for their survival, including the dwarf pine weevil and the eight-spotted beetle. Unfortunately, however, it is not easy to spot these beetles, as they spend most of their lives under the bark.

Come out on a warm summer day to enjoy nature, the sound of the waves and a dip in the bay. If you have a boat, you can dock at the natural harbor in the bay on the west side of the reserve.
