Fjällnora

In Fjällnora there is something for everyone. Beautifully situated by the lakes Trehörningen and Ramsen is a farm surrounded by a nature reserve with pastures, meadows and forest. Sheep, pigs, goats, rabbits and many more live on the farm.

Hiking: In Fjällnora there are several trails of between 3 and 5.3 km. One of them, the Wilderness Trail (4.5 km) goes around Lake Ramsen. Here you can ride a small raft across Pålsundet and then follow the trail up a mountain with beautiful views and steep drops down to the lake. From Fjällnora you can also walk Upplandsleden's stage no. 2 towards Uppsala and stage no. 3 north towards Länna.

Swimming: In the summer, many people come to the fine swimming area at Lake Trehörningen. It offers large grassy areas, diving towers, jetties, a kiosk and a restaurant. There is also a small naturist bath on a headland and a dog bath in the western part of the area. Follow the signs from the main bathing area.

Paddling, fishing, barbecuing: When it's too cold to swim, you can still get close to the water. Rent a canoe, kayak or rowboat and explore the beaches and coves. In summer, autumn and spring you can fish freely with hand gear in the area. Fjällnora also has several fireplaces if you want to warm yourself with a fire.

Ice skating: In winter, you can strap on your skates and glide out on a plowed track around the lake. Depending on the conditions, tracks of different lengths are plowed, 1-12 km. If you don't have your own skates, you can rent long-distance skates, ski boots and ice studs.

Accessibility: For those with disabilities, there are many activities to try in Fjällnora. The disabled parking lot is located 50 m from the restaurant and 200 m from the bath. There is a bathing ramp with handrails at the bath. RWC is located near the restaurant. You can rent several different outdoor aids: bathing chair, ice toboggan, skate support, canoe with pontoons, motorized raft for wheelchairs and kick.
