The reserve is located two miles southeast of Ytterhogdal. From Ytterhogdal you drive towards Fåssjö, where you turn right towards Grytåtorpen and Känne. Just after Östertjärnen you turn right again, and then you reach the reserve after almost a kilometer.

Welcome to Långsidberget. Keep in mind that it is not allowed within the reserve:

• make fires, except in specially designated places
• capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
• climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
• disturbing the ground, boulders or vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
• picking and collecting natural products (e.g. wood fungi, lichens and mosses) with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms
• collecting invertebrates, such as beetles and land molluscs
• driving motorized vehicles off-road throughout the area
• marking trails, organizing orienteering checks or holding competitions
• constructing snowmobile trails.

Paragraph 2 does not prevent the practice of hunting. Point 7 does not prevent the off-road transportation of felled moose. This presupposes that vehicles with low ground pressure are used and that a suitable route is chosen for transport.
