Kungskällan

It got its name from the fact that King Karl XI is said to have stopped here in 1686 when he was traveling to Västerdalarna. He was to inspect the defense facilities against Norway. The king came riding from Lillhärdal and inspected Rot Skans, which was just such a facility. In Älvdalen, he spent the night in the vicarage.
