Örsås kyrka

About the church

There has been a church in Örsås since the 1400s. The small medieval church was expanded in stages and was completed in 1818. The church was soon afterwards affected by fungal attack and was replaced by the new church building already in 1958, which was built of gray stone. The new building can accommodate 700 churchgoers. The image of the Sermon on the Mount on the altarpiece is surrounded by two painted church windows depicting people from the Bible.
