Beskrivelse
It was probably built in 1859, and its size is due to the fact that it was also partly used as accommodation for travelers. The attic space above the animal shed was used as a lodging place. The very first road passed through here. The walls of the barn are made of graphite slate in double walls. The space between them is filled with earth. The roofing consists of boards laid on lids. The feed barn consists of a post-and-beam structure with external standing seam panels covered with a turf roof. The roof is held up with a post arrangement, unusual at these latitudes, called mesula construction.

2.5 miles northwest of Hemavan in Umasjö across the road from the parking lot and approx. 200 m down to the lake after the gravel road, is the barn.
