Beskrivelse
The entire reserve is boulder-rich and in some places really magical with hanging lichens and mosses.
In the eastern sub-area there are fine, old pines in an older spruce forest and closest to the field there is a fine aspen stand. The southernmost sub-area is quite small and located on a hill. Here you can enjoy fine old pines. The westernmost area has quite a mixed forest and is well worth exploring. Closest to the site is a small area of mature deciduous trees. It is too small to walk in, but the old trees are important for nature conservation.

Rutevejledning
Location: Värmlands län, Storfors municipality, eleven kilometers northeast of Kristinehamn, at Alkvettern. From Kristinehamn: Drive on E18 towards Mariestad. At the Övre Kvarnmotet intersection take road 26 towards Kristinehamn Östra. Turn right on Närkevägen towards Bjurtjärn. Turn left and continue on road 604 for about 1.4 miles. Turn right at Dalstorp and continue 540 meters down to the road barrier. Parking lot is just before the barrier. The nature reserve Dalstorp's forests consists of several sub-areas. The eastern sub-area can also be reached from the road down by Sundet, but there is no parking lot planned. The forest in that area is fairly easy to get around in, but there is no organized path. The gate is always locked.
Regler
It is prohibited to:
- collect or harm invertebrates such as beetles, snails and butterflies
- collect mosses, lichens and wood fungi
- felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees or bushes, whether standing or lying down
- drive motorized vehicles, such as tractors, snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles (quad bikes)
- use the area in an organized manner for commercial purposes without the permission of the county administrative board, and for schools and institutions to regularly use the area to carry out scientific or other studies.
