Beskrivelse
Vinkkakoski is part of a larger contiguous area of considerable natural values. The area slopes gently down towards the river and is rich in herbaceous plants and lots of aspen. The nature reserve includes Vinkkakoski Rapids in the Kalix river. Along the banks, alder bushes grow and slightly further from the river, the ground is boulder-strewn. The area is 4.1 square kilometres in size.

The reserve lies about 9 kilometres southwest of Masugnsbyn. From the road which runs between Masugnsbyn and Nedre Parakka a logging road passes, which leads further south to the nature reserve. It can also be reached from road 865 between Masungsbyn and Kääntöjärvi.

Regler
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hike
- make a fire, remember to bring your own wood!
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
