Colourful Easter bouquets are a traditional part of Easter

Perhaps a broomstick is also needed for the journey to Blåkulla?

You are exercising your right of public access when you buy your pine cones or ask the landowner for permission before picking them from a tree or bush. It is fine to pick up branches, twigs and pine cones from the ground, but there may be specific regulations in protected areas, nature reserves and national parks. If you break off live twigs from growing trees and bushes, this causes wounds that can stunt their growth or kill them.

To add a splash of colour to the rice, you can dye pine cones or pieces of fabric using natural ingredients you have at home or can find in the countryside, such as berries, plants or spices. Why not dye the eggs too!? There are lots of fun ideas to discover!

The bluebells out on the hillsides are...

A vase of the first spring flowers is a lovely way to brighten up the Easter table, but do check the regulations before you start picking. Coltsfoot is always fine, whereas bluebells and cowslips, for example, are protected in certain parts of the country.
