Beskrivelse
Barkensjöarna consists of 3 lakes, Norra Barken, which stretches from Smedjebacken to the bridge in Söderbärke, Mellan-Barken (between Söderbärke and Huggnora) and Södra Barken. The Barken lakes are part of the Strömsholm Canal.
The lakes are best known for the fine size of pikeperch, trout and pike and especially trolling fishermen make good catches. The lakes are also known as good perch waters.
Around the lakes there are nice landscaped and natural bathing areas, as well as natural beaches to dock your boat at.

In Smedjebacken harbor there are plenty of parking spaces and access to Barkensjöarna is available at several alternative locations around the lakes.
Parking spaces for motorhomes are available in the summer in the port of Smedjebacken and the port of Söderbärke. Maintenance and operation of parking lots: Smedjebackens Båtklubb
