STF Stora Kalholmen Vandrarhem

Stora Kalholmen is located in the central archipelago between Finnhamn and Möja. Stora and Lilla Kalholmen form a lagoon-like natural harbor. The islands are connected by a charming little bridge. The nature trails lead between blueberry rice and pine forest to the countless cliffs in all directions of the compass. Here you can always find your own spot to rest.

Stora Kalholmen has no shops, no restaurants and no breakfast service. Everything you want to eat during your days on the island, you must therefore bring with you. In the guest kitchen there is only cold running water and the toilet consists of two nice dry toilets in the yard. Simplicity is the big thing on Kalholmen. The luxury consists of nature, wonderful sunsets - and the electric sauna.

The house has four rooms with 14 beds. There is also a shared kitchen and a nice dining room with a fireplace. Cozy in all weathers. Outdoors there are barbecues and outdoor furniture. In addition, there are four small cottages with between two and five beds. A total of 29 beds can be offered. Pillows and duvets are available in all beds, but you need to bring your own sheets. If you would rather rent sheets, please note that these must be pre-ordered at the time of booking.

The archipelago is fantastic even outside the summer months, and we are happy to welcome groups by prior arrangement.

You will always find the island manager Eva on site. She takes care of you and the island. Our company also runs STF Svartsö Hotel & Hostel on Svartsö.
