Smedbyskogen

Smedbyskogen is a large, varied, hilly forest area dominated by coniferous, older spruce and rocky ground pine forest. In the southern part of Smedbyskogen is the Viking farm Gunnes Gård - an open-air museum in Upplands Väsby. At Gunnes Gård you can experience the environment and life on a farm from the Late Iron Age - the time we usually call the Viking Age. Through the cultural trail Fornslingan you can experience some of the area's cultural history with burial grounds and rune stones. In Smedbyskogen there is also an electric light trail, outdoor gym and a disc golf course.
