Safety on the ice
Think about ice safety and use the right equipment. Never go alone. When the temperature is above freezing, the ice can become weaker and dangerous to be on. **All skating and being on the ice is at your own risk.
Beskrivelse
Upplands Väsby municipality plows a lake ice rink for skating on Lake Mälaren starting at Kairobadet. We plow the ice regularly in the right weather and ice conditions.

- Remember that all skating and staying on the ice is always at your own risk, even on plowed lake ice.
- Never go alone.
- Use the right equipment to stay safe on the ice.
Essential equipment
- Ice studs
- Buoyancy aid (backpack with waterproof packed change or life jacket)
- Rescue line
- Ice spike
- Mobile phone in a waterproof case.
Upplands Väsby municipality recommends a helmet for all skating.

Important information
We do not report on the thickness of the ice and its suitability for skating and walking. We also do not report on the quality and surface of the ice. All skating and being on the ice is at your own risk!
Parkering
The number of parking spaces at Cairo Baths is limited. A larger parking lot is located at the end of Mor Olas backe, a short walk from the bathing area. Parking is also available at Sättrabadet.
NOTE! Parking along Runsavägen is not allowed. It blocks access for emergency vehicles and buses.
Kommunikationsflows
Take bus 532 from Upplands Väsbys station to the Kairo stop.
Rutevejledning
Kairobadet is located in western Upplands Väsby, by Lake Mälaren. Take bus 532 from Upplands Väsby station and get off at Kairo. If you come by car, you can park in the visitor parking lot.
