Beskrivelse
Rindö Redutt is located just above the ferry landing and worth a visit to view a fortress from the 1860s. The fortress is a side fortification to Vaxholm Castle. The building is square in shape to allow fire in all directions, and is surrounded by deep moats and fields of blunt stones that would provide protection in the event of an invasion. Nowadays, Redutten is used by craftsmen.

By car: From Stockholm take the E20 and at Vallentuna/Arninge exit Vaxholm on road 274. Continue until you reach Vaxholm Centrum. By public transport: Bus 670 from Tekniska Högskolan to Söderhamnsplan in Vaxholm. The bus ride takes 47 minutes. Rindö redutt is located just above the ferry camp.
