Mulletjärnen, Trolldalskärret

Wetland with interesting flora and fauna. 62 different bird species have been observed in and around the mullet ponds. Some of the species seen nesting here are woodcock, snipe, teal, grebe and hen harrier. Twenty different species of dragonflies have been seen at the wetland, including the lemon-spotted dragonfly, which has been designated as a species of special conservation concern in the EU Habitats Directive. In the same EU directive, the great crested newt has also been given strong protection. The great crested newt was the only amphibian found when Mulletjärnen was inventoried in 2018. The wetland was restored a couple of years ago to prevent it from becoming overgrown. East of the wetland there is a shelter and barbecue area and northwest of the wetland a small parking lot.
