Beskrivelse
During the Iron Age, there were at least two farms in this area, Kumla and Näsby. In the land registers of the 16th century we find two self-owning farmers in "Kumbla". They paid taxes to the crown in the form of barley, flour, pork, hay and butter, chickens, eggs, logs, boards and linen. They also had to do day labor. From the 17th century onwards, Kumla became part of the large Tyresö estate, but the land was bought in 1680 by the Stockholm merchant Olof Törne and then covered the entire western part of Tyresö. During the 19th and 20th centuries, there were several different owners of Kumla, and at the beginning of the 20th century the estate began to be divided up. Tyresö municipality bought the manor in 1969 and after a period of decay it was renovated. For many years, the small manor rooms have housed a restaurant with a small garden facing Drevviken.
