Beskrivelse
The area offers a rich outdoor life with several bridleways, paths and jogging trails. The reserve is located in a valley and the agricultural landscape is a well-preserved remnant of what it looked like in the Stockholm area until the turn of the last century. The area contains four wetlands created by the City of Stockholm. Skogvaktarkärret in the southeast and Ärvinge frog pond between Kista and Rinkeby, Hästa frog pond in the west and a constructed wetland next to Järva cemetery. At Skogvaktarkärret there is a jetty and a windbreak overlooking the water. The ponds have already proven to benefit bird life and amphibians and make the reserve more exciting as an excursion destination.

Parkering
In connection with some of the farms in the reserve there are smaller parking lots, for example at Hästa gård and Eggeby gård and at Järva Discgolfpark.
Rutevejledning
Cycling: There are both regional and local cycle paths leading to and through the reserve. For example, the newly built Kymlinge trail runs along the E18 and crosses the southern part of the reserve. As in the city's other reserves, paths and some of the roads within the reserve are for pedestrians only.
Subway: The blue line of the subway takes you to the stations Kista, Husby and Akalla, which are all north of the reserve. The blue line takes you to Rinkeby, Tensta and Hjulsta stations, which are south of the reserve. From all stations it is a few hundred meters walk to the reserve.
Bus: There are several bus lines that stop in the residential areas already mentioned. It is also possible to take a bus along road 275, Akallalänken, and stop at the Hästa gård stop.

It is a shame that, a part of this Nature reserve is is going to become a graveyard. From what I understand is the top part called (granholmstoppen).
we walk almost every weekend with our children to this place and enjoy the view. others do (paragliding)
No offense, but why give the dead such a beautiful place? aren't we living deserve it more?
besides I thought it was forbidden to build on nature reserves.
If they come with their machines, they will scare lots of animals that usually come out in the evenings. We've seen them. foxes, hares, deer.
and in order to even be able to arrive and build, they must take down masses of trees so that they can pass by with their building material. :(
Build a high house somewhere instead, a tall building where the dead can rest in peace, where only relatives can get in.
This way you save on space and skip young people, drunks and others who disturb evenings/weekends.
