• A walking trail in pleasant nature

The walk goes from Fårdala school along the footpath towards the riding facility Fårdala farm. Tyresö municipality owns the facility and Tyresö Ryttarförening uses the facility for its riding school activities and is responsible for operation and maintenance.

Pass to the right of the riding school, this stretch is a gravel road and is not cleared of snow in winter. After the end of the pasture on the left side, turn left down towards Kolardammarna.

Kolardammarna is located in Alby nature reserve, which was established in 1975. The ponds, which were inaugurated in 1998, purify the stormwater from Bollmora, Öringe and Fårdala and are a beautiful feature of the landscape. Along the shoreline, you will encounter coarse-stemmed aspens, pine hills, small rocks and open grasslands.

In addition to effectively purifying stormwater, the ponds have also become a major addition to the area's nature and outdoor recreation. The ponds are now home to many unique animals that are linked to water, such as the lesser newt.

On the small island in one of the ponds, the beaver has built a lodge, and there are plenty of traces of beaver gnawing along the shoreline.

Cross the two bridges over the ponds so that the walk turns back towards Fårdala again. Go to the right of the riding school this time and across the parking lot. When the parking lot ends, follow the footpath to the left back to Fårdala.
