Beskrivelse
This place is where the Fridhem cottage once stood. Those who did not work the land, such as the poor or elderly, lived in these types of cottages, known as "backstugor", in Swedish. The cottages were typically small and built on public land.
The last residents of this cottage were Sofia Johannesson, a carpenter's widow, together with two other women and their daughters. After the cottage was abandoned in 1903, it fell into decay. Today, only a green water pump remains.

Rutevejledning
By car: Take Route 274 from Stockholm towards Vaxholm and turn onto Bogesundsvägen road. Just after Bogesund Castle, turn at the sign towards Karlsudd. Keep right at the fork and drive through the tree-lined avenue to reach the parking lot at Fridhem. From there, walk back along Allévägen road. The Fridhem cottage once stood here by the roadside.
By public transit: Take bus 670 from Danderyd towards Vaxholm. Change busses at the Eriksövägen bus stop, to bus 681 towards Kulla vägskäl. Get off at the Bogesunds gård bus stop. You can walk to Fridhem from there.

In order to protect the Bogesundslandet nature reserve, please respect the following rules.
Within the reserve, it is forbidden to:
- destroy or damage rock, soil or stone by drilling, cutting, blasting, carving, digging, painting or similar,
- break branches, fell or in any other way damage living or dead trees and bushes or damage the vegetation in general by digging up plants,
- bring dogs that are not on a leash,
- camp for more than two consecutive nights outside of designated campsites,
- park a motorhome, caravan or other camping vehicle outside of designated campsites,
- anchor a boat at the same beach for more than two consecutive nights,
- make a fire outside of designated sites,
- put up signs, posters or similar,
- bike outside of designated bicycling trails while cycling off road,
- ride horses off road or outside of designated horse trails.
