Kristinavandringen

Queen Christina (1626-1689) was a visionary who went her own way - literally. She became Queen of Sweden at the age of five, but later chose to leave the throne to go to Rome and convert to Catholicism. But before she left Sweden for good, she was often at Tyresö Palace.

Like Kristina, we also have the opportunity to seek new paths, listen to the inner voice of our heart and make a break from the most predictable patterns of life. This is as much an outer journey as an inner one.

Along the way there are reflection points inspired by the thousands of maxims (short pithy thoughts) Kristina wrote during her lifetime. Six of these are found along the walk along with Bible texts, hymns/songs and prayers. Use these if and how you like!

**Feel free to stop for a while at each meditation place, read a text/prayer/song or all of them. Take a word that "speaks to you" at that moment and think about it until the next meditation place. If you walk with someone, there is the opportunity to share words and thoughts along the way. Try walking some distance in shared silence and make room for inner reflection. When you leave a place to move on, feel free to pray the prayer of all pilgrims, formulated by St. Bridget: Lord, show me your way and make me willing to walk it.
