We are body and soul. But we are also spirit. The cross describes an inner connection with each other through the horizontal line. The vertical line shows our connection with the source of the universe, our origin and goal, the source of life and love. The Holy One whom we call God.

**Spiritual reflection
The cross shows something of all that God is: a boundless love that gives itself without demanding anything in return. A hope that can never be crushed. A life that can never die.
