Beskrivelse
Pine forests, open moors and lakes create a varied landscape in the reserve, with many older trees that contribute to high nature values. Visitors can explore the area on their own without marked trails or other services. The older pine forests are particularly important for biodiversity, as are the more open moorlands that contribute to the reserve's variety of habitats. Several rare species such as the chalk mouse-ear, giant mouse-ear, spadefoot and the beetle raggbok have been found here, all dependent on older pines and specific forest conditions.
In the north-western part, Botvidstäppan, there are traces of earlier settlement with remains of houses, stone walls and cairns. In order to preserve the valuable habitats and species, the County Administrative Board plans to carry out management measures such as conservation burning, closing ditches and felling trees to restore the open bogs. These measures will benefit species that depend on fire and open landscapes, and help to preserve the biodiversity of the area.

Rutevejledning
The area is located a few kilometers northwest of Hälleforsnäs. The roads into the reserve are closed, but you can easily reach the area by walking the Sörmlandsleden stage 22 which passes right at the edge of the reserve.

Regler
The nature reserve has special rules for visitors.
It is forbidden to:
- break branches, cut down or otherwise damage living or dead standing and fallen
- fallen trees and bushes,
- damage, pick or collect plants, fungi or lichens. Berry, edible mushroom and
- picking flowers for personal use is allowed
- put up a board, poster, poster, sign or make an inscription
- capture and collect invertebrates in such a way that their habitats or
- reproductive habitats are damaged or destroyed,
It is prohibited to without the permission of the County Administrative Board:
- organize camp activities,
- organize competitions
