Beskrivelse
The most species-rich part of the reserve is the area around Slängbäcken. Here, goldenrods, briars, sedges and ferns thrive along with spring barley, soapwort, dwarf horsetail, fenugreek and toothwort, surrounded by a large number of ferns. The reserve is also home to fungi indicative of calcareous soils, such as the sulphurous sponge and thorny fungi from the genus *Hydnellum*.

Rutevejledning
Slängbäckens nature reserve is located about 3 km southeast of Strångsjö. From Strångsjö, head towards Forssjö and turn off towards Glindran. At the crossroads towards Sörgölet, the road towards Slängbäcken begins on the opposite side, the road is closed to unauthorized traffic and the nature reserve is reached from here on foot. It is a walk of 1.5 km, then the nature reserve is just south of the road.
Regler
The nature reserve has special rules for visitors.
It is forbidden to:
- break branches, cut down or otherwise damage living or dead standing and fallen trees and bushes
- damage vegetation by digging up plants or removing mosses, lichens or woody fungi. However, picking berries, mushrooms and flowers for personal use is allowed
- putting up a billboard, poster, poster, sign or making an inscription
- capture and collect invertebrates in such a way as to damage or destroy their biotopes or reproductive habitats, or so that the local population is adversely affected
- driving a motorized vehicle off-road.
It is forbidden to do so without the permission of the County Administrative Board:
- organize camp activities,
- organize competitions.
