Näktergalslunden

Näktergalslunden is a natural forest area close to the city that got its name from a pair of nightingales (näktergal=nightingale) that nested here for several years. Among deciduous trees such as alder, ash, birch and maple, birdberry, linden there are fott-bridges that welcomes you to walk among birdsong. Ramson also grow here, a plant that is otherwise rare in Sörmland. Näktergalslunden is a small key biotope which gives species that would otherwise have had difficulty surviving a chance. A wide span leads through the grove and out to a lookout where a view of Tureholmsviken and the castle Tureholms slott awaits.
