Lekpark Sveaparken

Sveaparken, right next to Kullbergska Hospital, is a popular park, not least among children. It is home to Katrineholm's largest playground. In the park stands the large sculpture "Thumb", created by Axel Nordell. There is also a water playground that can also be used by those who have a walker or wheelchair to help them get around.

During 2018-2022, the park has been transformed into a meeting place with new plantings, new play experiences such as water and climbing games, improved lighting and much more. This gives you new play experiences and a safe and beautiful environment. There is a barbecue area right next to the playground and it is close to public transport and cycle paths through the city.

The water playground is open every day at 10-20 during the summer June 1 - August 31 and is started by the children themselves. If the weather is good, we sometimes open earlier and can close later. Park your scooter and bike in the bike rack - do not use them in the water play area.

Around the water playground there are sun loungers, parasols, areas for picnics in the shade and sun and a barbecue area.

There is something for all ages and the playground has a mix of woodchip and rubber surfaces. We have accessible openings to play equipment, several challenging play equipment. There is a lot of structure through color, clearly divided playground where both balance and climbing play can take place. We also have rest areas alongside the activities and green areas nearby.
