Beskrivelse

The Janstorpsskogen nature reserve is located south of Nyköping town in the middle of Arnölandet. In a forest area surrounded by cultivated fields, there are not only varied forests but also rest areas, jogging tracks and bridle paths. Parking is available at the old Gyllennacka site. You can also reach the area from the Långsätter district of Arnö.

The forest is very suitable for outdoor recreation and exercise due to its trail system and its very gentle topography without wild cliffs or other dramatic terrain sections.

Reserve regulations

In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:

light a fire in a place other than a designated barbecue area
damaging boulders or rocks by, for example, carving, burning, painting or the like
camping for more than one night or organizing camps or competitions without the municipality's permission
damage trees when putting up a poster or board in connection with competitions, tip walks or the like; the posters must be taken down immediately after the activity has ended.

Take bus 2, stops that are close to Janstorpsskogen are Arnö Flättnaleden and Trollstigen.

The nature reserve is located in the middle of Arnölandet, about 5 kilometers from Stora Torget in Nyköping, 500 meters east of the district Långsätter on Arnö. By car, drive towards Stora Flättna and turn left towards Gyllennacka. Parking is available at Gyllennacka gammal tomt.
