Hebyåsen

Hebyåsens nature reserve, located at Hebylund about 2.5 kilometers west of Lerbo church in Katrineholm municipality, consists of a 900 meter long pebble ridge covered with mainly conifers. The ridge has an elongated ridge trench that includes moss land and Lake Kvarnsjön, a small lake lined with deciduous forest that is becoming overgrown. The area also contains a wetland with swamp forest that extends west and north of the lake, as well as a gravel road that runs through the southwestern part of the reserve.

The reserve offers a diversity of habitats where the forest mixes with the bog and lake, creating a rich flora. Visitors can find various ferns, pyrola species, linnea and orchids in the forest. The wetlands are home to plants such as missile, hedgehog bud, manna grass, crow's claw, marsh violet, cloudberry, cranberry and various species of sedge. Lake Kvarnsjön is home to aquatic plants such as duckweed, pondweed, water primrose, swallow-wort, willow-leaf, nasturtium and yellow water lily.
