Beskrivelse
Öresundsparken is a municipal nature reserve in Lomma municipality. The reserve covers a beach area adjacent to the southern part of Lomma town. Around 200 plants have been found in the area and over the sea you have the chance to see large numbers of migratory birds during spring and fall.
Species-rich beach area
The reserve consists mainly of grassland and seashore and is home to a rich variety of vegetation. Among the rarer plants, hollow nettle, prickly thorn and thorny thistle can be mentioned. The sandy beach is dominated by seagull's foot and stonecrop.
Tree curtain with insectivores
A curtain of trees runs along the beach, which favors insect life and provides shelter for small birds and bats. In westerly winds, many insects gather in the shelter of the tree curtain - something that bats take advantage of. At such times you have the opportunity to experience, among other things, the species of pipistrelle, brown long-eared and northern bat. Those who prefer to visit the reserve during the day may instead see swifts, house martins or perhaps humpback swallows hunting insects here.
Large numbers of migratory birds
Over 200 different bird species have been observed in or from Öresundsparken. A large proportion of the birds are migratory birds that have been seen flying over the sea, but the reserve is also an important resting place for many migratory birds. Many ducks and wading birds rest in the area, as well as smaller birds associated with shrub and tree habitats. Some of the most frequent visitors are curlew, wigeon, house sparrow and kingfisher.
Urban recreation
Thanks to its location close to urban areas, Öresundsparken is an important area for recreation. The reserve is located between Lomma town and the state nature reserve Södra Lommabukten med Tågarps hed Link to another website. and forms a link between them. Öresundsparken is easily accessible on foot, by bike and by public transport. The reserve has footpaths, benches and tables and a couple of barbecue areas. Remember to take your rubbish home.

For example, it is forbidden to:
- keeping dogs unleashed
- make fires outside designated areas, if they exist
- setting up a caravan/mobile home
- cycling outside designated footpaths and cycle paths
- ride a horse

Full regulations for visitors
In addition to regulations and prohibitions in other laws and regulations, it is forbidden to:
- digging, removing, drilling, painting or otherwise damaging soil, rock or other natural objects
- remove wood or break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and bushes
- picking, collecting, digging up or otherwise damaging plants, mosses, lichens or fungi, with the exception of stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) and soapwort (Saponaria officinalis)
- deliberately disturbing mammals and birds
- capture insects, spiders, snails or other invertebrates, other than by trapping, hand picking or other selective methods with subsequent release within the nature reserve, if this is permitted under the conservation regulations. The requirement for release does not apply to single specimens of each species for species identification, provided that the findings are registered in the Species Portal or equivalent national database for endangered species,
- sow, plant or release plants, animals or other organisms
- bring an unleashed dog or other loose pet,
- put up a board, poster, poster, sign, light device, make an inscription or similar,
- use a music or sound system in a disruptive manner and use or drive vehicles or machines in a disruptive manner,
- operate a motorized vehicle, motorized craft or remotely operated unmanned aircraft (including model aircraft such as drones), with the exception of assistive vehicles required to overcome disability
- light an open fire other than in a specially designated and prepared place, if available
- dumping waste such as garden waste, compost material, stones, rubbish or similar in the area
- set up a caravan, camping car or similar,
- hunt or use any form of firearm, except for protection hunting,
- without the municipality's permission, organize competitions or other events that may counteract the purposes of the area,
- ride a bicycle outside of established footpaths and cycle paths,
- ride a horse.
