Beskrivelse
Norre Wång consists of a grassy area with both constructed ponds and natural small waters. The entire reserve is surrounded by arable land. The nature reserve was established mainly to protect a population of the rare onion frog.
Onion frog
Until the 1960s, there was an extensive population of onion frogs in the area. The onion frog is only found in Sweden in southern and southwestern Skåne and declined sharply in the latter part of the 20th century. The decline was mainly due to habitat loss in connection with increased urbanization and modernization of agriculture and forestry. The fact that Norre Wång had a residual population of onion frogs was first noticed in 1994 when field herpetologist Boris Berglund discovered a last year's young in the northern part of what would later become a nature reserve.
Constructed ponds
In connection with the creation of the nature reserve in 2003, a couple of new ponds were built in the reserve by opening up drainage pipes. Norre Wång's ponds and small waters are home to a number of other amphibians in addition to the onion frog. The common frog, the common toad, the edible frog, the great crested newt and the great crested newt have all been observed in the reserve.
**Please note that Norre Wång is generally not accessible to the public. The reserve is surrounded in its entirety by arable land that may not be entered during the vegetation period.

For example, it is forbidden to:
- keeping a dog unleashed
- make fires
- riding or driving a horse
- camping
- setting up a caravan/mobile home
- disturb the environment
It is important to note that this is only a selection of the rules.
Full regulations for visitors
In addition to regulations and prohibitions in other laws and regulations, it is forbidden to:
- affix any board, placard, poster, sign, inscription or similar device
- capture or collect insects or other animals or otherwise disturb wildlife
- break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs
- use a radio, tape recorder, musical instrument or other sound device in a disruptive manner
- drive a motorized vehicle, camp, set up a caravan, camping car or similar,
- ride or drive a horse
- make a fire,
- bring an unleashed dog or other loose pet,
- organize competitions or conduct activities that may disturb the natural environment
