Beskrivelse
Domedejla bog is home to a small hay meadow, wild forest and several small water bodies. Take a walk around the paths in the area. Keep an eye out for yellow moon, bluebells and heath flowers in the dry open fields to the east. Domedejla mosse is a municipal nature reserve located between Bjärred and Borgeby.
Wetlands on old lake bed
The name comes from the words "dome" meaning "fog" and "dejla" meaning "mire". The old lake bed is still wet and in places there are small pools of water. In the damp south-western part, which is dominated by birch and willow, there are plants such as shore clover, bladderwrack, broom-sweet, torch flowers, sword lily and sea anemone. In glades you can find plants such as chickweed, sedge and hay flower.
Drier parts
The north-eastern part of the reserve is drier, more open and more accessible. This part consists of land that has previously been farmed and here you can find yellow poppies, bluebells and heath flowers.
Bird life
The bird life is relatively rich and includes species such as the marsh warbler, greenfinch, garden warbler and marsh warbler. In the eastern part of the reserve, both barn owls and buzzards have nested.
