Augustenborg, Naturreservat
- Naturreservat
- Landsdel: Skåne län
Handlinger
Beskrivelse
Fruit has been grown here and gravel has been extracted. But for some time now, wild nature has been wandering in. Today you will find areas with trees and bushes, but also water-filled holes and meadows. There are paths, albeit unmarked.
Old gravel pit
There is a lower lying area in the area. Gravel has been extracted here. You have to go down an embankment to get into the area. In addition to gravel extraction, there has been a fruit plantation during the 1900s.
Under overgrowth
The land in Augustenborg was used as arable land a hundred years ago. But in the 20th century, arable farming ceased. The area was first used for other purposes, but then the open land gradually began to overgrow with bushes, shrubs and trees.
Greenways for recreation and diversity
Today, Augustenborg has a good location for recreation. At the same time, the area is part of a larger network of green spaces. With the help of some nature conservation efforts, both visitor values and ecosystem services in general will increase.
Outdoor life
Unmarked paths run through the area. Remember to take your rubbish home.

² Invasive species means species capable of extirpating any of the country's own species or populations, altering an entire ecosystem, carrying new diseases that attack native species, interbreeding with local populations, outcompeting threatened species for resources and habitat, or hybridizing with the country's own species. German maple
(sycamore maple) is not considered an invasive species.
³ Selective method means hand-picking, netting, screening or other techniques that directly release animals that are not to be studied in detail, and where the impact on their habitat is negligible or can be restored immediately. Traps are not considered selective, regardless of their design.
