Västra Hargs hembygdsgård

Västra Hargs Hembygdsförening was founded in 1980. Since 1985, the former school in Boo has served as a homestead. Thanks to the meritorious work of the provost Carl Erik Svenstedt, the association was able to buy the house from the then Linköping church community for a symbolic sum.

May Day celebrations together with Västra Hargs IF and the homestead day in early June are fixed points, as well as the fall party and Christmas party. Activities are also sometimes organized in Önnebo country store.

There is a rich crofting heritage in Västra Harg as there have been many larger farms. Today, most of them have fallen into disrepair, but traces can be found in nature. The local history society can tell you more if you are particularly curious.
