Entrén Ljungsjön Motala ströms ravin

Welcome to the Motala ströms ravin nature reserve. Here begins a hiking trail along the gorge in the nature reserve. From here you go over the dam to Malfors hydropower station with beautiful views of the water both in Ljungsjön and Motala ström.

A warning is that a hydropower plant may, in certain unusual situations, need to release water. In such a situation at Malfors power station, the water will rush through the gorge.

The advice is that if the water starts to rise, you should move to higher ground. The hiking trail is carried higher than the water is expected to rise. A good idea is to follow marked hiking trails in the nature reserve.
