Beskrivelse
A short detour from the trail takes you to the impressive Pålsbotallen. This is the oldest pine in Blåvikaskogen, about 370 years old! The pine measures 365 cm in circumference and 24 m in height.
According to tradition, this is a "toothache pine", where a nail was driven into the tree to transfer the pain. No-one has dared to cut down the pine, as there is said to be a risk that all the evil that has accumulated in it will be passed on to the person who cuts down the tree. But no traces of nails have been found.
