Nedre Stångån

The lower parts of Stångån, from Slattefors lock, through Linköping and down to Roxen, are part of the Stångån-Linköping fisheries management area. Here you can fish for pike and perch in the middle of the city. Fishing with hand gear is free for private individuals, but does not apply to trolling and drag rowing.

The free fishing area extends from the downstream side of the Slattefors power station to the mouth of the Stångån river in Roxen. However, it is not permitted to fish from bridges used for vehicle traffic, in connection with locks or closer than 50 meters from the inlet and outlet of hydropower plants. Please also be aware of other places with special signs prohibiting fishing.
