Beskrivelse
Järnlunden is one of Linköping's largest lakes. It is rich in islands and bays and a popular destination for excursions during much of the year. Sport fishing in the lake is mainly for zander, perch and pike.
There are two areas in the lake where fishing is permitted. Firstly, within the inner parts of Törneviken, where the Hulta-Törnevik fishing association sells fishing licenses via the iFiske web service. But also within Viggeby nature reserve where fishing with hand gear is free for the public. If you don't have a boat, there are several fine fishing spots along the reserve's shores, for example at Jaktstugeudden and along the beach south of Viggebybadet.
Keep in mind that some of the small islands south and east of Tallön are covered by bird protection during the period 1/4 to 10/7.

If you want to fish within Viggeby nature reserve, the marina at the eastern entrance to the reserve is a possible starting point. There is also a ramp for boat fishermen to use for a fee. You get here if you drive highway 23/34 towards Kisa. Nine kilometers after Skeda udde, turn right towards Viggeby. Then turn right at Brokind Castle and continue west on the gravel road. You will see the harbor 500 meters after the castle.
