Herrborum naturreservat

Welcome to visit the old-fashioned and species-rich landscape around the ancient Herrborum manor, the original parts of which date back to the 17th century. But the landscape is much older than that and has been farmed for centuries. The nature reserve is located on the archipelago coast and consists of three sub-areas. It is characterized by both open and wooded pastures, old coniferous forest and a grazed seashore meadow. There are a large number of old and large trees and many of the tree environments have no equivalent in Söderköping municipality. The pastures include old wide-crowned oaks and grazing flora. In the coniferous forest there are old pines with armored bark and damp land with spruce forest. Several waders and other wetland birds thrive in the grazed meadow. Count Magnus Stenbock's genuine interest in nature and nature conservation has been a strong contributing factor to the formation of the reserve and its valuable natural environments. For visitors, there are two hiking trails that start from the parking lot. Remember to show consideration for the animals by moving calmly and leashing your dog.
