Hallstadrundan, Östgötaleden

A medium-difficulty loop of the Östgötal Trail in a very beautiful and varied natural and cultural environment.

From Rimforsa, the trail goes out into the countryside along smaller roads and paths through forests and next to pastures and a small river. In parts, the terrain is very hilly. The trail from Rimforsa to the loop is 1.8 km and the loop itself is 8.9 km.

From the top of Klevberget Nature Reserve, the view of Lake Järnlunden is wonderful. It is possible to make an extra detour to the ancient castle at Borgarmon nature reserve.

The hike continues over the flowery Hallstad meadows nature reserve with its pollarded lime trees. There is a shelter with a fireplace, a sandy beach for swimming and several picnic tables.

The walk ends at Rimforsa, which is close to public transport, shops and a swimming area.
